Research Overview:
Our research focuses on protecting corals by understanding how they grow, why they bleach, and how they survive under stressful environmental conditions. We have developed simple and stable methods to culture corals in the laboratory, allowing us to observe their responses to heat, strong light, and pollution under controlled conditions.
At the same time, we work on developing techniques to propagate and restore corals, helping to increase coral survival and support reef restoration efforts. By combining basic science with practical conservation, we aim to contribute to the protection of coral reefs in Taiwan and around the world.
